Stainless Steel 904L Sheets and Plates are composed primarily of iron, with a high nickel (23-28%) and chromium (19-23%) composition, which offers superior corrosion resistance. They also have molybdenum (4-5%), copper (1-2%), and low carbon, which adds to their mechanical strength and durability in acidic conditions. These plates and sheets have a tensile strength of around 490 MPa, a yield strength of about 220 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. Their physical characteristics are a density of around 8 g/cm³, good thermal expansion, and high thermal conductivity, which makes them ideal for applications at extreme temperatures and corrosive environments.
