Stainless steel unions are pipe fittings used to connect and disconnect piping sections easily without causing deformation. They are usually manufactured from stainless steel grades of 304, 316, or 321 comprising chromium (about 18%) and nickel (8–10%) for corrosion resistance, plus additions of molybdenum for increased durability. These alloys possess excellent mechanical properties like high tensile strength (typically 515–620 MPa) ductility and toughness even at low temperatures. They resist oxidation, withstand high pressure and offer long service life under unfavorable environments and hence are ideal for use in chemical, petrochemical and food processing industries.

In addition, Weston Stainless Unions are accompanied by required test certificates, including Material Test Certificate (MTC) as per EN 10204/3.1b, Positive Material Identification (PMI) Test Certificate, 100% Radiography Test Report, and Third-Party Inspection Certificate. These certificates prove the quality, reliability, and high performance and durability of the product. This guarantees users a smooth and reliable experience, with Stainless Steel Unions with the highest possible quality and conformity.
Stainless Steel Unions typically do not require additional corrosion protection coatings due to their inherent resistance to rust and corrosion. However, coatings may be applied for extreme environments or aesthetic purposes.
When selecting Stainless Steel Unions, consider factors like material grade, pressure ratings, size compatibility, corrosion resistance, and the specific application environment to ensure optimal performance and durability.
Yes, Stainless Steel Unions are fully recyclable. Stainless steel is a sustainable material that can be reused without losing its properties, making it an environmentally friendly choice for various applications.
Stainless Steel Unions are available in various configurations, including threaded, butt-weld, socket-weld, and flanged unions, offering different connection types to suit diverse industrial applications and pressure requirements.
Stainless steel unions are widely used in piping systems to connect and disconnect pipes without deforming. They are specifically used in applications requiring frequent maintenance or replacement of components. Corrosion, pressure and temperature resistant, they are ideal for use in industries such as chemical processing, food and beverage pharmaceuticals and oil and gas. The unions offer leak-tight threads, improve durability, and make assembly and disassembly easy. Stainless steel unions also remain clean, and therefore they are employed in sanitary uses. Their long life, reuse possibilities, and simplicity of installation contribute towards greater efficiency and reduced downtime in most industrial and commercial operations.
