Midland, UK-headquartered Weston Stainless specializes in top-of–the-range stainless steel items offering enhanced corrosion-resistance solutions across various markets. One among its elite ranges, the Sheets and Plates made from Stainless Steel 446 enjoy utmost esteem due to their phenomenal resistance against heat, oxidation, and overall long service life. Priced in the Grade 446, they can come in different product shapes like hot-rolled, cold-rolled, or even perforated pieces serving across assorted industries. Made of ferritic stainless steel, they have excellent resistance to scaling and oxidation at elevated temperatures, making them a choice for heat-sustained and corrosive environments that need long-lasting reliability.
Stainless Steel 446 Sheets and Plates are mainly composed of iron with a high chromium content of 23-27%, which offers excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance. They also contain a small percentage of molybdenum, nickel, silicon, and manganese, which contribute to their mechanical strength and durability. These plates and sheets have a tensile strength of about 550 MPa, yield strength of around 345 MPa, and elongation of 20%. Their physical characteristics are a density of about 7.7 g/cm³, good thermal expansion, and high thermal fatigue resistance, making them ideal for high temperature applications.

High temperature oxidation and corrosion. It comes in standard sheet thickness ranging from 3mm to 50mm width up to 2000 mm and is the choice for many aggressive environments high-heat applications.
Excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Resistant to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion, these plates are available in thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 6 mm and widths up to 1500 mm. They are used in applications requiring precise tolerances.
Come in a better slip resistance, which is more rugged. They contain a raised pattern on the top surface and, thus, they possess excellent resistance against corrosion. Their common thickness is 2 mm to 10 mm while dimensions are usually 1000 mm x 2000 mm. It suits best for industrial usage and floor purposes.
Corrosion-resistance with useful ventilation and filtering design. In various hole configurations and sizes they are offered for the following usual thicknesses-1mm through 5 mm and sheet sizes up to 1200 mm x 2400 mm. More appropriate for application in architectural and industrial use cases.
Used to fill gaps and provide precise spacing in mechanical assemblies. They offer excellent high-temperature and corrosion resistance in thicknesses ranging from 0.1 mm to 2 mm and dimensions up to 1000 mm x 1000 mm, which is ideal for precision applications.
Reflective surface and high resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures. Thickness ranges from 0.5 mm to 5 mm and sizes up to 1500 mm x 3000 mm. They are widely used for decorative and high-visibility applications.
Stainless Steel 446 Sheets and Plates find extensive application in industries that call for exceptional heat and corrosion resistance. They are widely used in furnace parts, boiler baffles, heat exchangers, and exhaust systems because of their superior resistance to scaling and oxidation. They are also used in power generation, petrochemical industries, and cement plants where temperatures and corrosive gases are commonly encountered. Their excellent mechanical properties, resistance to sulfur-containing atmospheres, and thermal cycling ability make them an ideal selection for structural applications under harsh industrial conditions.
Stainless Steel 446 Sheets and Plates are accompanied by mill test certificates like EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 to ensure that they meet international standards of quality. They are tightly packed in wood crates, plastic wrapping, or protective sheets to avoid damage during transportation. Delivery times depend on order volume and destination, with effective logistics providing timely dispatch. Special packaging arrangements can be made on request to suit special customer requirements, with the sheets and plates arriving in pristine condition.
