SS 415 Sheet and Plates consist of about 11.5-13.5% Chromium, 0.75-1.5% Manganese, up to 1% Silicon, 0.03% Phosphorus, 0.03% Sulfur, and 0.21-0.26% Carbon, with the balance being Iron. Mechanically, they possess tensile strength of about 515-1035 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, hardness of up to 45 HRC, and elongation of 20%. Their physical properties consist of a density of 7.7 g/cm³, a thermal conductivity of 24 W/m·K, and an electrical resistivity of 570 nΩ·m. These properties render them suitable for high-strength applications that demand good wear and corrosion resistance.
