Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Sheet and Plates have a chemical composition of Chromium (15-17.5%), Nickel (3-5%), Copper (3-5%), and minor amounts of Manganese, Silicon, Carbon, and Columbium/Tantalum for greater strength and resistance to corrosion. Mechanically, they have tensile strength up to 1310 MPa, yield strength of 1180 MPa, and elongation of 10-15%. They are hard between HRC 28-44 depending on heat treatment. They physically possess a density of 7.75 g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 18 W/m·K, and melting point of about 1400°C, with the purpose of withstanding conditions in harsh environments.
