Stainless Steel 348H Sheets and Plates contain 17-19% chromium, 9-13% nickel, and increased carbon content (0.04-0.10%) to enhance high-temperature strength. The addition of niobium improves stability, decreasing carbide precipitation in elevated temperatures. These plates and sheets have very good mechanical properties with tensile strength of about 550 MPa, a yield strength of about 220 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. Their hardness is between 160-190 HB, making them very durable. Physically, SS 348H Sheets and Plates possess a density of 7.93 g/cm³, good thermal conductivity, and superior oxidation resistance, positioning them to be used in extreme temperature applications.
