Stainless Steel 405 Sheets and Plates have 11.5-14.5% chromium, ≤ 0.08% carbon, with minor amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur, which ensures good oxidation resistance and heat stability. Their mechanical characteristics are a tensile strength of 415 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and hardness of up to 89 HRB, providing durability in harsh applications. With a density of 7.75 g/cm³ and a melting point of around 1490°C, these plates and sheets provide good thermal expansion control, easy machinability, and fair corrosion resistance, making them ideal for industrial applications.
