Weston Stainless, based in Midland, UK, is a trusted supplier of high-quality stainless steel products, catering to various industries with precision-engineered materials. Among their offerings, Stainless Steel 309H Sheets and Plates stand out due to their excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. This grade, 309H, is a heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel with a high carbon content, making it ideal for elevated temperature applications. Available in multiple shapes, including sheets and plates, it is composed of iron, chromium (22-24%), nickel (12-15%), and a higher carbon content for enhanced creep resistance. These sheets and plates are widely used in heat exchangers, boilers, and furnaces.
Stainless Steel 309H Sheets and Plates have a composition of iron with 22-24% chromium, 12-15% nickel, 0.04-0.10% carbon, and small amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. Their mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 620 MPa, yield strength of 310 MPa, and elongation of 40%. The physical properties feature a density of 7.9 g/cm³, a melting point of 1350-1400°C, and thermal conductivity of 15.6 W/m·K. These properties make 309H ideal for high-temperature applications such as furnaces, heat exchangers, and power plants.

Due to excellent corrosion resistance, these sheets are manufactured at very high temperatures. Mechanical properties are improved by that manufacturing process. They are available with thicknesses in range of 3 mm up to 50 mm and width up to 2000 mm for structural and industrial applications.
The cold rolled plates were produced at room temperature with a polish finish. The plates come in various thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 6 mm and widths as much as 1500 mm making it very ideal for precision and aesthetic purposes.
These plates offer excellent corrosion resistance and a textured surface for improved grip and slip resistance. They are usually available in thicknesses from 3 mm to 10 mm and dimensions up to 2000 mm x 1000 mm, and are used in flooring and safety applications.
The perforated sheet has strong resistance to corrosion with various hole patterns for functional as well as for aesthetic purposes. Sizes are commonly between 0.5 and 6 mm in thickness, and up to 2000 mm x 1000 mm in dimensions to be used in filtration and ventilation.
These thin sheets give good corrosion resistance and are applied to spacing and levelling accurately. The availability is as thin as 0.1 mm, with up to 1000 mm width. These sheets are of crucial use for aligning machinery and construction work.
excellent resistance to corrosion with a highly reflective finish through polishing. They have thicknesses in the range of 1-20 mm, and their dimensions could go up to 2000 mm x 1000 mm, commonly being used in decoration and architecture applications.
Stainless Steel 309H Sheets and Plates are widely used in high-temperature and corrosive environments due to their excellent heat and oxidation resistance. They are commonly found in furnaces, heat exchangers, boilers, and refractory supports. Industries such as power generation, petrochemical, and thermal processing utilize them for components like burner parts, kiln liners, and annealing covers. Additionally, they are used in the manufacturing of stainless steel equipment for chemical plants, incinerators, and food processing units, ensuring durability and performance in extreme conditions. Their high carbon content enhances creep resistance, making them ideal for elevated temperature applications.
Stainless Steel 309H Sheets and Plates come with test certificates, including Mill Test Certificates (MTC) as per EN 10204 3.1/3.2, third-party inspection reports, and material traceability records ensuring quality compliance. Packaging is done securely using wooden pallets, crates, or bubble wraps to prevent damage during transit. Delivery is prompt and efficient, catering to global and domestic markets with proper labeling and handling for safe transportation.
