Stainless Steel 904L Tubing mainly contains iron and a high percentage of nickel (23-28%) and chromium (19-23%) for superior corrosion resistance. It also has molybdenum (4-5%), copper (1-2%), and low carbon, which increase its mechanical strength and acid–resistant properties. The tubing is about 490 MPa tensile strength, around 220 MPa yield strength, and 35% elongation. Its physical characteristics are a density of around 8 g/cm³, high thermal conductivity, and good thermal expansion, and it is best used in extreme temperatures and corrosive environments.
