Stainless Steel 17-4PH Tubing is a martensitic, precipitation-hardened stainless steel distinguished by its hardenability and corrosion resistance coupled with high hardness and strength. It contains a composition of nearly 17% chromium, 4% nickel, 3-5% copper, trace amounts of manganese, silicon and carbon. This alloy has superior mechanical characteristics with up to 1100 MPa tensile strength and approximately 1000 MPa yield strength and a hardness of up to 38 HRC when in the heat-treated state. It has satisfactory toughness and corrosion resistance in marine and mild environments for aerospace, chemical and marine applications where high strength and durability are required.
