Niobium increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion, but increased carbon content in 348H enhances high-temperature strength. These fittings have better mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of approximately 550 MPa, yield strength of nearly 220 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Having hardness of 160-190 HB, they provide longevity. Physically, SS 348/348H Forged Fittings possess a density of 7.93 g/cm³ and provide great thermal conductivity and resistance to oxidation.
