Our stainless steel forged fittings consist mainly of iron to which chromium, nickel and molybdenum are added for corrosion resistance and strength. The general composition is 16–18% chromium and 8–12% nickel, depending on the grade. Mechanically they provide high tensile strength, superior yield strength and good elongation characteristics making them well-suited for use in high-pressure systems. Physically, they possess high melting point, superior toughness, and good thermal conductivity. All of these features enable forged fittings to function well under tough conditions, withstanding wear, heat and chemical exposure in a variety of industrial applications.
