SMO 254 Sheets and Plates consist of around 19.5-20.5% Chromium, 17.5-18.5% Nickel, 6-6.5% Molybdenum, 0.18-0.22% Nitrogen, trace amounts of Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Carbon, and the rest is Iron. Mechanically, they have a tensile strength of 650 MPa, yield strength of 300 MPa, hardness of up to 100 HB, and elongation of 35%. Their physical properties are a density of 8 g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 14.5 W/m·K, and electrical resistivity of 85 µΩ·cm. These figures render them particularly suitable for high-strength, corrosion-free applications in harsh environments.
