Stainless Steel 416 Pipes essentially contain iron, 12-14% chromium for resisting corrosion, and 0.15% carbon for hardness. Sulfur addition provides better machinability but compromises on corrosion resistance to a small extent. These pipes possess a tensile strength of about 550-700 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%. They have a density of 7.75 g/cm³ and a melting point of about 1450°C. These properties combined make them ideal for high-strength applications with easy machinability.
