AWS Class ER308/308L MIG and TIG Filler Welding Wire and Rod has 19-21% chromium, 9-11% nickel, and up to 0.03% carbon to provide increased resistance to intergranular corrosion. These fillers have a tensile strength of about 600 MPa, a yield strength of about 300 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. Physical properties are a density of 7.9 g/cm³ and a melting range of 1350-1400°C with high thermal stability and oxidation resistance even in severe welding conditions.
