Weston Stainless, Midland, UK, is a well-established supplier of high-quality stainless steel products, providing long-lasting and high-performance fastening systems. Stainless Steel 420 Stud Bolts are produced from grade 420 martensitic stainless steel, which has been well-known for its high strength and excellent hardness, along with moderate resistance to corrosion. The stud bolts are produced in a number of shapes and sizes, serving high-wear-resistant industries and mechanical durability. Made of iron, chromium (12-14%), and carbon (0.15% min), these bolts are characterized by good oxidation resistance and excellent toughness. They find extensive use in the automotive, aerospace, and heavy engineering sectors because of their wear-resistant and strong nature.
Stainless Steel 420 Stud Bolts have 12-14% chromium, 0.15-0.40% carbon, 1% manganese, 1% silicon, and small quantities of phosphorus and sulfur, exhibiting higher hardness and corrosion resistance. Their mechanical characteristics involve tensile strength of 700-900 MPa, yield strength of 500 MPa, and a hardness of up to 50 HRC in heat-treatment, thus proving to be highly resistant in stress conditions. Physical characteristics involve 7.75 g/cm³ density and melting point around 1480°C, thereby being structurally stable in severe conditions and relatively oxidation-resistant.

Stainless Steel 420 Stud Bolts are extensively utilized in aerospace, automotive, and machine industries, where wear resistance and high strength are required. The bolts are used extensively in valve parts, shafts of pumps, turbines, and engine components, guaranteeing high strength in harsh environments. They are also utilized in construction, defense, and petrochemical applications, ensuring secure fastening solutions in corrosive and high-load environments. Their high-pressure and temperature resistance capability makes them the best choice for marine, oil & gas, and manufacturing sectors, providing tough performance in demanding applications
Another example of widely used equipment containing bolts is the use of Studbolts in places of high strength and corrosion resistance. They support almost every conceivable application, including those that assemble parts/components in a machine, auto parts, and industrial equipment. Stud bolts are very ideal for places where equipment would be exposed to moisture or chemical surroundings, like in the marine and chemical processing industries. Because they have very high hardness, they are also very applicable for applications that experience a lot of stress, such as valves and pumps. Their magnetic properties also associate them with functions where magnetic attraction would be useful.
