Weston Stainless of Midland, UK, is a trusted manufacturer of top–class stainless steel products, providing resistant and durable solutions for industrial processes. Of its high-end products, Stainless Steel 904L Coils stand out due to their outstanding corrosion resistance, exceptional strength, and excellent weldability. Being part of Grade 904L, these coils can be provided in different shapes like hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and precision strips according to diverse industrial needs. Made of austenitic stainless steel, they demonstrate excellent resistance against acids, pitting, and chloride-induced corrosion, making them suitable for adverse environments that require long-term strength and performance.
Stainless Steel 904L Coils consist mainly of iron with high nickel (23-28%) and chromium (19-23%) content, thereby providing excellent corrosion resistance. They also have molybdenum (4-5%), copper (1-2%), and low carbon, which contributes to their improved mechanical strength and resistance against acidic environments. These coils have a tensile strength of around 490 MPa, a yield strength of around 220 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. They have physical properties such as a density of around 8 g/cm³, good thermal expansion, and high conductivity, and are hence found to be applicable in extreme corrosive and high-stress applications.

Excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and precise slitting, ideal for demanding applications in chemical, marine, and oil & gas industries.
Excellent corrosion resistance, high durability, and precision slitting, making them ideal for use in chemical processing, marine environments, and the oil and gas industry.
High-alloy stainless steel offering exceptional corrosion resistance, especially in acidic environments. It is ideal for applications in chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and marine industries.
Stainless Steel 904L Coils find extensive applications in industries where there is a need for higher corrosion resistance, like chemical processing, marine, and offshore processes. They find applications in heat exchangers, power generation plants, and pharmaceutical processing plant equipment, where sulfuric, phosphoric, and acetic acid resistance is of prime importance. They also find applications in seawater desalination, pulp and paper, and food processing industries because they are non-reactive and have long lives. Their good mechanical properties, chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance, and long life ensure that they are the material of choice for harsh industrial processes.
Stainless Steel 904L Coils are provided with mill test certificates like EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, guaranteeing conformity to international standards of quality. They are tightly packed in wooden crates, plastic wrapping, or coil separators to avoid damage during shipping. Schedules of delivery depend on the size of the order and location, with streamlined logistics guaranteeing prompt dispatch. Specialized packaging arrangements can be made at the request of the customer to accommodate individual requirements, with the coils reaching the customers in pristine condition.
