Weston Stainless, established in Midland, UK, is a prominent provider of high-quality stainless steel goods, catering to industries demanding precision, strength, and superior material performance. Of its specialized products, EP (Electropolished) Reducers are in great demand for their ultra-smooth finish, corrosion-proofing, and high purity. Constructed using premium stainless steel grades like SS 304, SS 316, and SMO 254, these reducers come in concentric and eccentric forms. Their electropolished coating reduces contamination and provides smooth fluid transfer, making them suitable for pharmaceutical, semiconductor, food processing, and other industries demanding hygienic and high-purity piping systems.
EP Reducers are made from high-grade stainless steel materials such as SS 304, SS 316, and SMO 254, with chromium (18-20%), nickel (8-18%), molybdenum (up to 6%), and low carbon content to improve corrosion resistance. Mechanically, they offer a tensile strength of 515-650 MPa, yield strength of 205-300 MPa, and elongation of 35%, ensuring high strength and durability. Physically, they have a density of 7.9-8 g/cm³ and thermal conductivity of 14-16 W/m·K. The electropolished surface provides a contamination-free, ultra-smooth finish, reducing bacterial growth and ensuring efficient fluid flow in high-purity environments.

EP Reducers are widely used in industries requiring ultra-clean, high-purity piping systems. They are vital in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for sterile fluid transfer, reducing the risk of contamination. In semiconductor fabrication, they provide clean and accurate transport of high-purity gases and chemicals. The food and beverage industry employs them for hygienic processing systems, avoiding bacterial accumulation. They find application in chemical and petrochemical industries, ultrapure water systems, and desalination plants. Their smooth surface finish, resistance to corrosion, and robust nature qualify them for use where efficiency, cleanness, and trusted fluid flow regulation is desired.
