Weston Stainless is a UK-based leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality stainless steel products. With our passion for excellence, we offer an extensive array of stainless steel slitting coils that are accurately engineered to suit different industrial requirements. Our slitting coils are renowned for their enhanced durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent performance, which make them suitable for various applications in a range of industries. We take pride at Weston Stainless in providing quality solutions and good customer service to guarantee satisfaction of our clients.
Stainless steel coils used for slitting are mainly composed of iron, chromium (typically 10-30%) and nickel (8-20%), with other elements like molybdenum, manganese, and silicon added in minimal amounts to endow them with certain properties. These coils exhibit good corrosion strength, high tensile strength, and very durable nature. Mechanical characteristics are a yield strength of about 200-250 MPa, ultimate tensile strength of 500-800 MPa, and elongation of 40-50%. They exhibit superior formability, toughness, and high-temperature resistance and are thus best suited for diverse applications in various industries like automobile, construction, and manufacturing.
