Weston Stainless, Midland, UK, is a reputable supplier of high-quality stainless steel products, including high-performance welding consumables. Of their products, AWS Class E316LT0-1/T0-4 flux core wire is particularly noted for its superb corrosion resistance and weldability. The wire is Grade 316L material, tubular in shape, made of austenitic stainless steel. Due to its low carbon content, it is very effective in suppressing carbide precipitation, eliminating intergranular corrosion. Formulated for better arc stability and low spatter, E316LT0-1/T0-4 flux core wire is best suited to weld stainless steel parts subjected to harsh temperatures, high-pressure environments, and corrosive media.

AWS Class E316LT0-1/T0-4 flux core wire contains Chromium (18-20%), Nickel (11-14%), and Molybdenum (2-3%), with controlled percentages of Manganese, Silicon, and low Carbon (<0.04%). Molybdenum addition gives improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. This wire imparts a tensile strength of around 600 MPa along with an elongation of nearly 30% for durability as well as ductility. The physical properties involve a density level of around 7.9 g/cm³ along with a melting range between 1400-1450°C. It guarantees superior removal of slag and is characterized by the formation of smooth weld beads without increasing cleaning needs, offering more efficiency during welding operations.
Available in sizes from 0.8mm to 1.6mm, provides excellent corrosion resistance. Ideal for welding stainless steel with enhanced arc stability and weld quality.
Ranging from 0.8mm to 1.6mm, ensures reliable corrosion resistance. Suitable for welding stainless steel without additional shielding gases, offering robust performance.
Available in sizes from 0.8mm to 1.6mm, guarantees high corrosion resistance. Ideal for stainless steel welding with consistent quality and high deposition rates.
AWS Class E316LT0-1/T0-4 flux cored wire finds extensive applications in high corrosion resistance industries such as chemical processing, marine construction, and food processing. The wire is most suitable for welding stainless steel storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping, and heat exchangers which are subject to aggressive chemicals and high moisture environments. AWS Class E316LT0-1/T0-4 flux cored wire finds extensive use in offshore platforms, ship construction, and the pharmaceutical industry where cleanliness and corrosion resistance are vital. Its high resistance against oxidation and scaling also renders it appropriate for applications in power generation plants, equipment used in refinery processes, and structural parts undergoing high temperature and pressure variations.
