Weston Stainless, a UK-based Midland company, is a reputable manufacturer of high-quality stainless steel welding products and industrial hardware. Among their high-end products, AWS Class ER347 SAW and Flux is a high-quality welding wire and flux product specifically formulated for submerged arc welding (SAW) processes. Composed of stabilized stainless steel, with a predominance of Grade ER347, it includes columbium to avoid carbide precipitation, providing enhanced corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance. Wired and flux powder form, this welding consumable is suited for stainless steel joining in petrochemical, food processing, power generation, and marine applications.
AWS Class ER347 SAW and Flux consist of high-quality stainless steel with major elements being chromium (18-20%), nickel (9-13%), and columbium/tantalum (up to 1%) for stabilization and corrosion resistance. Mechanically, the welding wire provides tensile strength of about 550-750 MPa, yield strength of 350 MPa, and elongation of 30%, providing tough, ductile welds. Physically, it possesses a density of about 7.9 g/cm³ and high oxidation resistance at high temperatures. The flux provides stable arc smoothness, deep penetration, and low spatter, and is ideal for precision welding operations.

Used for submerged arc welding of stainless steel, offering high resistance to intergranular corrosion, excellent strength, and a clean, slag-free weld for high-temperature applications.
Designed for submerged arc welding of stainless steel, providing strong, durable welds with high resistance to intergranular corrosion and a clean, efficient finish.
Provides excellent arc stability and a clean, slag-free weld. It enhances corrosion resistance and weld quality for high-temperature and stainless steel applications.
AWS Class ER347 SAW and Flux have extensive applications in high-strength, corrosion-resistant welds-demanding industries. It is usually applied in petrochemical and food processing industry pressure vessel, heat exchanger, chemical tank, and piping system fabrication. It is welded for stainless steel boiler parts and superheater tubes in power plants. Marine and shipbuilding industries use it for structural high-strength welding in seawater environments. Its stable composition avoids carbide precipitation, which makes it perfect for welding with high resistance to intergranular corrosion and long-term exposure to high temperatures.
AWS Class ER347 SAW and Flux is accompanied by necessary test certificates such as Mill Test Certificates (MTC) according to EN 10204 3.1, third-party inspection reports, and chemical and mechanical test results to meet international welding standards. They are safely packaged in moisture-proof containers, spools, or sealed bags to avoid contamination and maintain quality. With a global distribution network that is efficient, Weston Stainless guarantees timely delivery, offering customers high-performance welding consumables for essential industrial processes.
