Weston Stainless, based in Midland, UK, is a reputed supplier of top–grade stainless steel welding consumables, providing better solutions for commercial and industrial use. The AWS Class E385-16 Electrodes are designed specifically to weld alloy 904L, a severely corrosion-resistant stainless steel utilized in harsh conditions. These electrodes come in rod shape with different diameters, providing stable arcs, less spatter, and strong welds. With added molybdenum, nickel, and copper, austenitic stainless steel makes up E385-16 electrodes with great resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking that is perfect for severe operating conditions.
AWS Class E385-16 Electrodes contain around 19-22% chromium, 24-26% nickel, 4-5% molybdenum, and 1-2% copper in their composition that provides great corrosion resistance. They have a tensile strength of approximately 550-700 MPa and a yield strength of about 300 MPa, with elongation of 30-40%, showing high ductility and toughness. At a density of around 7.9 g/cm³ and a melting range of 1350-1400°C, the electrodes are stable under harsh conditions. Their high resistance to acidic and chloride environments provides durability and reliability in severe applications

Excellent corrosion resistance, particularly for welding high-strength stainless steel structures. They come in various sizes, including 3.2 mm (1/8 in) and 4.0 mm (5/32 in) diameters, providing strong welds with smooth, light coatings.
Superior corrosion resistance, these electrodes are ideal for heavy-duty welding tasks. They are available in 3.2 mm (1/8 in) and 4.0 mm (5/32 in) diameters, designed for high-strength applications with thicker coatings for enhanced performance.
Robust corrosion resistance. They are offered in sizes like 3.2 mm (1/8 in) and 4.0 mm (5/32 in) diameters, ensuring strong, reliable welds with excellent shielding properties.
AWS Class E385-16 Electrodes are extensively employed in industries demanding superior corrosion resistance, including chemical processing, marine, and offshore environments. They are best suited for welding tanks, heat exchangers, and piping systems that are exposed to aggressive acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acids. AWS Class E385-16 Electrodes are also employed in desalination plants, power generation plants, and pulp and paper mills, providing consistent and durable welds in chloride-bearing environments. Their resistance to tough chemical exposure and heat makes them a popular pick for mission-critical infrastructure initiatives.
AWS Class E385-16 Electrodes are shipped with certification test papers guaranteeing AWS A5.4 and ISO 3581 conformity, providing accurate mechanical and chemical composition. They are dry boxed in moisture-proof containers to secure against contamination and weld quality. The electrodes are available in different diameters and supplied in standard or special packaging according to industrial needs to ensure safe delivery and effective global shipment.
