Stainless steel electrodes are made up of iron, chromium (18–25%), nickel (8–14%) and other components. They have molybdenum, silicon and manganese added for additional strength and performance. They possess good resistance to corrosion, high strength and stable weldability. They are hard and capable of welding under severe industrial environments. They function well in marine, chemical and other severe operating environments. Key strengths include corrosion-resistant welds and maintained strength at elevated temperatures. They give smooth, consistent curves for precise and controlled welding operations.
