Weston Stainless, a Midland, UK-based leading manufacturer of high-quality stainless steel products serving multiple industrial uses, features Stainless Steel 440C Bolts among its products. Characterized by extreme hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, the bolts are manufactured from Grade 440C, a martensitic high-carbon stainless steel. The bolts come in various forms, such as hex, square, and U-bolts, guaranteeing flexibility in fastening processes. With its chromium content being high, this material is capable of offering superior strength, great durability, and abrasion resistance, which makes it perfect for high-stress applications where long-term reliability and mechanical stability are needed.
Stainless Steel 440C Bolts consist of iron, chromium (16.0-18.0%), carbon (0.95-1.20%), manganese (1.0% max), and molybdenum (0.75% max), and these offer great hardness and corrosion resistance. They have a tensile strength of around 760-895 MPa, yield strength of around 450 MPa, and elongation of around 14%. They have a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and melting point of about 1480°C, with high thermal conductivity and high wear resistance. Hardness varies between 58-60 HRC following heat treatment, providing maximum mechanical performance in applications where they are used.
